Alumni Event: Does it actually exist, that work-life balance?

Thursday 12 June 2025, 7 pm - 10:30 pm

This lecture is in Dutch.

We hear it everywhere: a good work-life balance is essential. But what does that look like in practice? During this inspiring Alumni Event on June 12, we will explore different perspectives on work-life balance together with Stéfanie André. Discover whether you are an integrator or a segmenter, how to make more conscious choices, and the role your environment plays. Get inspired, engage in discussions with fellow Radboud alumni, and take home practical strategies. The lecture starts at 19:30 (doors open at 19:00), followed by an informal networking reception.

Does it actually exist, that work-life balance?

Whether your free time consists mainly of relaxation, volunteer work, caregiving, or looking after children, everyone has their own way of balancing work and personal life. The key is to discover which style suits you best. Are you an integrator who prefers to blend work and personal life? Or a segmenter who keeps them strictly separate? These differences can create tensions—not only with your partner but also in the workplace. How do you navigate that?

We will also examine the influence of managers, colleagues, and your home situation. Which role models shape your choices? And are you aware that you yourself are also a role model for others?
