Pope Francis was committed to helping the vulnerable and constantly sought dialogue with those who held different views in the interests of a better world and greater mutual understanding. He called for respect for the earth and the poor. In doing so, he was an example to many.

It is with sadness that the Executive Board of uu77 has learned of the death of Pope Francis.
The for Integral Ecology – a collaborative initiative of the independent think tank Socires and uu77 – is named after the 2015 encyclical in which Pope Francis identified the climate issue as a comprehensive physiological, social, economic and political problem requiring a transdisciplinary, integral approach.
The University Chaplaincy has set up a memorial where students and staff can light a candle and leave a message. During the celebration on Tuesday 22 April, The University Chaplaincy also paid tribute to the passing of Pope Francis.
