Communication Science

The Department of Communication Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences studies the production, content, and reception of media. In our programmes, we study how the media is used to communicate. how communication occurs through the media. We challenge students to set their preconceived ideas of media and communication aside and view it from a critical, analytical perspective.

Research

The three pillars of our research group are:

  • Influence: commercial & social marketing communications
  • Information: journalism & news
  • Culture: media, consumer, & society
