The Department of Social Law is concerned with labour law and social security law matters, such as work rights, wages, working conditions, dismissal and incapacity for work. Labour law plays a key role in determining the legal status of workers. The social security system is also very important. For example, consider such issues as incapacity for work, unemployment, old age, the death of the breadwinner, the burden of children, healthcare insurance and poverty.
