Magnetic Resonance Research Center Facility

The instruments of the Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC), ranging from benchtop systems to ultra high field 850 and 950 MHz systems, are made available to national and international researchers in the context of the uNMR-NL and .

For whom?

Academic and industrial users are welcome to use our NMR infrastructure. We are part of the national uNMR-NL and European PANACEA infrastructures. NMR spectroscopy is one of the most information-rich spectroscopic methods and has widespread applications in fundamental and applied research in chemistry, biology, medicine, and materials science. If you think NMR can provide answers concerning your research questions you can contact Marian de With.

The NMR Zoo: software for NMR data processing, analysis and training

We make a series of software programs available for NMR data processing, analysis and training.

  • ssNake: ssNake is a versatile tool for processing and analysing NMR spectra, with a particular focus on solid-state NMR.
  • Tiger: An NMR periodic table with detailed information about all NMR accessible isotopes (also included in ssNake)
  • Shimpanzee: A training tool to learn magnet shimming
  • Jellyfish: Jellyfish is a program to simulate ( field dependent) liquid-state NMR spectra of J-coupled spin systems
  • Magpie: A virtual NMR spectrometer that can be used for initial training of students to adequately set acquisition parameters, calibrate pulses, determine relaxation times etc.
