Steps
Step 1: Change your RU password in Accountportal
Please note: Remember to turn off the internet on all your mobile devices.
Before changing the password on your mobile devices, change your Radboud-password in the .
Step 2: Change your Radboud password to your email
Note: This can only be done when you are on campus.
- Click the Apple menu at the top left and select 'System Settings'.
- Click the 'Network' tab in the settings.
- Click 'Wi-Fi' and then 'Advanced' (at the bottom of the window).
- In the list of known networks, search for eduroam.
- Select eduroam and click the minus sign (--) next to eduroam.
- Then select 'Remove from list'.
- Click 'Forget' and then 'Done' to save the changes.
- Follow the instructions to reconnect your Mac to eduroam with your new password.
Step 3: Change Radboud password for your Radboud email
Use your Outlook on your Mac:
- Open the Outlook app.
- Log in with your new password when prompted.
Use your Apple Mail:
- Click the Apple menu at the top left and select 'System Settings'.
- Click the 'Internet Accounts' tab in the settings.
- Click 'Exchange'. If you have renamed the Radboud mail, select it.
- Click 'Delete account'.
- Confirm the deletion by clicking 'OK'.
- Follow the instructions to add the account again with your new password.
Step 4: Change Radboud password for linked printers
If you have connected your own Radboud printers on your Macbook or iMac, you will need to change your Radboud password for them too:
- Use the command + space key combination on your keyboard to open the search bar.
- Type 'Keychain Access' in the search bar and press 'Enter'.
- Search for macOS-print-FollowMe in the list and click it to select it.
- Right-click the selected item and choose 'Remove ‘macOS-print-FollowMe’.
- Confirm the action by clicking 'Delete'.
- On the next print job, you will be prompted to log in. Enter the new password and optionally choose Save in Keychain Access to save the new password.
Step 5: Check the Keychain for old references
If you manually set up a link to workgroup folders, there may still be log-in data left behind. To do so, check your Mac's Keychain:
- Use the command + space key combination on your keyboard to open the search bar.
- Type 'Keychain Access' in the search bar and press 'Enter'.
- Search the list for items called ‘cnas.ru.co.uk’, ‘ru.co.uk’, ‘cnas-wrkgrp.ru.co.uk’ or ‘macOS-print-FollowMe’.
- Right-click the selected item and choose 'Remove'.
- Confirm the action by clicking 'Remove'.
