Intensive NT2 summer course for German students, PhD candidates and lecturers

Are you from Germany, and will you be starting at uu77 or another Dutch university as a student, PhD candidate or staff member next September? With our intensive NT2 summer course for German speakers, you can raise your Dutch to B2 level at lightning speed, for a smooth start in the Netherlands.

General

Who is it for? 

This course is intended for prospective German-speaking students, regular students, PhD candidates and staff members who: 

  • are native German speakers, and:
  • are studying, working or will start doing so at a Dutch university 

Level: from 0 to B2 (CEFR)

Exams 

You will take the RU-Nt2 exam at the end of the course. uu77 recognises this exam as an official replacement for the Second Language NT2, Programme II. Are you studying at another university? Check with your university whether they also recognise this exam. 

Please note: you will only be allowed to take the exam if you have at least an 80% attendance rate.

The exams will take place in week 32: 4 and 5 August. The re-sit will take place in week 33: 13 August.

Course materials are not included in the course fee.

Other course materials

We will use textbooks and licenses during the first two weeks of the course. After that, we will use handouts (digital and physical) (Course material A2-B2 and practice exams B2). You will receive these handouts during the course. The cost of these handouts is included in the course fee.

Costs

  • Prospective Bachelor’s students: €995,- > free of charge
    You initially have to pay 100% yourself. Have you completed the first year of your Bachelor’s programme (BSA)? You are then entitled to a 100% refund.
  • Other RU students: €497.50 (50% discount)
    Are you not yet registered for a study programme, or have you only signed up for pre-registration? You then first pay 100% of the language course yourself (€995). Once you are registered via Studielink, send your proof of registration to Radboud in'to Languages: info [at] into.ru.nl (info[at]into[dot]ru[dot]nl) stating ‘Korting Intensieve Taalcursus Duitsers’ (Discount Intensive Language Course German); you will then receive a 50% refund.
  • RU and Radboudumc employees: free of charge (providing they meet the conditions of the language policy discount scheme).
  • External participants: €2500,-
