Language course German for advanced students (halfway to B2)

If you already have an adequate grasp of German and you want to take your language skills to the next level, and you can easily have a conversation in German, formulate an opinion and understand the gist of German texts, this course will continue to build on what you learned at the B1 level and will take you halfway to B2 level.

    General

    Entry level

    In order to qualify for this course, we expect you to have knowledge and skills of the German language at the B1 level. This means that you should easily be able to have a German conversation and that you have an extensive passive knowledge (reading and listening skills). For example, you should be able to formulate an opinion properly and structure a written or oral story. You should be familiar with the formation of subordinate clauses and the prepositions that are followed by the genitive case.

    If you completed the preceding German B1 course at In’to, you will automatically be able to progress to this course. If you did not complete this particular course, we will invite you to take part in a telephone intake so that we can determine whether this course is appropriate for your language level.

    After completing this German language course, you will be able to:

    • converse fluently and spontaneously on a wide range of topics;
    • formulate your opinion in detail;
    • understand the main ideas of complex texts, including on abstract topics;
    • write clear and detailed texts on a wide range of topics.

    The emphasis is on oral communication. But reading, listening and writing skills are also covered. You will also learn more about German culture. You will receive a certificate from Radboud in'to Languages at 80% attendance.

    This course will help you on your way to language level B2. After this course you can participate in the language course German B2.
