To investigate the influence of temperature (think of heat pumps and airconditioning) on the possible load of the electrical network Yuliya Shapovalova and Jacco Heres looked at causality in time series of load data of the network. The first results came via the Granger causality and it showed that there is influence, but it is not strong enough to make prediction out of it. Yuliya and Jacco want to do further research on this via an internship or otherwise, to research the addition of Bayesian Networks and Structural Models.
