Learning and evolving as a PhD candidate
As a PhD candidate, you can work on your development in different ways. You can attend workshops, courses and training programmes and develop your academic and personal skills.

Range of development programmes within your Graduate School
In addition to general development programmes, your Graduate School also offers training programmes and courses. Contact your Graduate School to find out about the range of programmes that are currently on offer.

Going abroad
During your PhD, there will be many opportunities to travel abroad. For example, you could attend a summer school, or take part in a training week or a job shadowing programme. Find out which scholarship is most suited to your circumstances and your destination.

Radboud Peer Coaching Programme
Peer coaching is a form of expertise development in which professionals call on their colleagues, fellow professionals, to help them gain insight into the problems or dilemmas they experience at work.

University Teaching Qualification
The University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) is evidence of the didactic competence of teachers in academic education. The UTQ-program is intended for all (novice) teachers at uu77. For teachers with a permanent contract and a teaching load of at least 0.3 FTE, the UTQ is mandatory.

Research integrity course
Every PhD student at uu77 is required to take a course in research integrity, to acquire essential knowledge and skills in this area. For more information on this, please contact your Graduate School. The general policy on research integrity in the training of PhD students can be found here.
