If you have a Radboud managed Windows or macOS workplace, it is important to install updates in a timely manner to keep you safe. If updates lag behind, the risk of vulnerabilities increases.
Update Windows workplace
Radboud managed Windows workplaces are provided with monthly (security) updates. These updates are installed on the third Tuesday of the month. Laptop users receive a notification to reboot their laptop after installation. This does not apply to desktop users; in fact, desktops are automatically rebooted. The reboot is required for the update to be successfully applied. If you don't use your laptop much, or if it is a laptop on loan, it is important to take this into account and turn on the laptop regularly (at least every month) and log into it to install the updates.
