A program by Radboudumc and uu77
The Radboud Healthy Data program aims to create an outstanding data & AI infrastructure and contribute to a responsible digital research culture on the Radboud campus. The program is characterized by its cross-campus, transdisciplinary collaboration and focus on re-using data & AI resources and expertise wherever possible, supporting interdisciplinary research and contributing to new, innovative infrastructure solutions - now and in the future.
Research is crucial to the development of knowledge. In recent years, our research has been strongly driven by increasing amounts of data and we are on the verge of working in a transdisciplinary, data-driven manner. Data science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have become mature fields that will strongly impact the way we do science in the (near) future. The Radboud campus wants to be at the forefront of these developments and contribute to society with our research and innovative solutions. However, despite good progress on individual components, there is no integrated infrastructure that can support our data & AI-driven research ambitions yet.
Radboud Healthy Data infrastructure
Radboud Healthy Data will work with other data & AI initiatives on campus to develop an infrastructure for ‘healthy’ research data & AI. Here, resources and people come together, supported by designated, innovative digital technology and multi-disciplinary expertise, to jointly achieve our ambitions and impact.
Our collaborating partners
We join forces with other data & AI initiatives on campus. In this way we ensure that our activities are aligned with current practices. Radboud Healthy Data is working together with the following initiatives, among others:

13 February 2025 - Radboud AI Event: Collaboration for Sustainable Growth
Over 350 AI professionals came to De Vasim on 13 February 2025. Radboud AI organised the event Collaboration for Sustainable Growth in cooperation with Radboud Healthy Data. "The EU should invest substantially in sustainable AI," keynote speaker Pim Haselager announced. Hopefully the words of him, other speakers, owners of start-ups as well as the poetic words of campus poet Jarmo van Dam inspired all visitors. AI professionals from both academia and industry came together and discovered how collaboration in different AI fields can stimulate sustainable growth and deliver tangible results.
