The pastors are happy to tell you more about themself. You can choose who you want to talk to. You can also request a conversation without making a choice.
You can contact the student pastors for a confidential personal conversation. This can be about things you are struggling with, such as difficult choices, study problems or loneliness, but also about your own ambitions, relationships and sexuality or questions about your faith, values or meaning.

Where did you come from and where are you going? The path between these questions is marked by stories. About who and what gives you hope and inspiration, your doubts and what inspires you. These stories shape you and the way you see the world. Let's discover those stories and answers together.
Your student time is pre-eminently a period when you create new stories and I am very curious about that. I see the University Chaplaincy as an open place in the hectic world, where you can escape for a while, share your stories, or to just be together.

As a university chaplain, we can search together for bright spots and pearls on your path of life. We call this spiritual counselling; by meeting regularly, we can search for answers and meaning and thus build up a dynamic, especially concerning your spiritual life.
When I think about the University Chaplaincy, the image that comes to mind is that of an inn: a stopping place where everyone, regardless of where they stand, may come to their senses and unwind. After all, our 'backpack' fills up quickly: with joyful and less joyful experiences, with problems, questions, disappointments, pain... A University Chaplaincy as a stopping place wants to offer you a platform where you can put down your backpack, where you can tell your story and ask questions... In all discretion and trust.

As a spiritual counsellor, I am here to take a moment with you to reflect on what is going on in your life, to explore what gives you strength and what direction you want to take. Life is an adventure with ups and downs, and sometimes it can be hard to find your way.
My path has led me from southern Germany to the Netherlands. Within our team, I work in particular with students and staff of the HAN, because I also work there as a teacher of spirituality and meaning.
It fascinates me how people search for the meaning of life, whether inside or outside the world of religions. There are so many choices, so many opportunities, but what really suits you? And how do you deal with things that come your way without having chosen them? If you want to talk about this or just organise your thoughts with someone on the outside looking in, you are always welcome.

As spiritual counsellor I offer guidance, assistance and advice on the things that are going on in your life. In other words, I want to give you space to be yourself. This can be done through conversation, silence or in connection with other students. Your time as a student is a special time. It can be fun and full of new discoveries, but also hectic or challenging. Because of my young age, I notice that I am very concerned with the well-being of students and I want to give you the space to discover what is important. Where are you in your life? Who are you and how can you find space to be yourself? But also when you notice that life is difficult, you experience problems or things are just not going so well, you can come here.
Furthermore, I like to search for the connection between people and how we can give each other space to be who we are. At the student church I often see a large house in front of me. A huge villa with many rooms. For example, the shed for gardening, a studio where people can create, a kitchen where people eat together, a coffee room where you can calmly recover from a stressful day, and so on.
