Using eduVPN

EduVPN offers a secure connection and remote access to all of uu77’s systems. Click here to find out how you can use eduVPN.

Steps

  1. Downloading eduVPN

    On a Radboud-managed workstation, eduVPN is already installed. On your own laptop or phone, you can download eduVPN . Follow the instructions on this page. Under institute, choose uu77 / uu77.

  2. Connect to eduVPN

    If you are already logged in to your device, click on the eduVPN icon or open eduVPN via the start menu.

    • In the pop-up screen choose uu77 under Institute Access.
    • Depending on the situation, you will be asked to authenticate using MFA. But in some cases, this step is not necessary.
    • The icon that eduVPN is turned on will then appear in your toolbar.

     

    Own devices (laptop/phone)

    • Click on the eduVPN icon or open the app.
    • In the pop-up screen choose for uu77 by Institute Access.
    • Then log in to your Radboud Microsoft account using your Radboud email address (e.g. voornaam.achternaam [at] ru.nl).
    • You will then be asked to authenticate using MFA.
    • On a laptop the icon that eduVPN is turned on will then appear in your toolbar.
      On a phone, you will (sometimes) see, next to your Wi-Fi icon, that VPN is on.
