If you wish to make of use this service, you must first agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. For non-public records, permission must be applied as per regular procedure, explicitly stating in your request that you would like a digital scan of the records. Learn more about how to check for permission.
2. The archivist will assess the requested records according to the privacy and security guidelines (AVG) of uu77. Privacy-sensitive records are not available for digitisation. 
3. Please make sure to fill in your contact details completely and truthfully for quick and proper processing of the request. This data will only be used by the KDC to contact you if we need additional information regarding your request. The data will not be provided to third parties or used for any other purpose.
4. The requested records will only be provided digitally. We don't provide hard copies, USB-sticks, CD-roms, etc.
5. Scans of archival records will only be provided as PDF, with an image resolution of 300 dpi. Please note that in case of photos and videos different standards are used. 
6. An estimation of the processing time will be provided to you by our staff. 
7. Scans are provided on a personal bases for the purpose of your research only. You are not allowed to share the scans with a third party, unless explicit permission is granted by the KDC.
8. The scans may not be published, unless explicit permission is granted by the KDC. In case of a publication the KDC may charge an additional fee for publishing rights. The same guidelines apply as in case of a request for photo and/or video material. 
9. Citation of sources is always mandatory. When publishing, please mention: Catholic Documentation Centre, Nijmegen and the name of the copyright holder.
10. At all times the KDC will retain the rights to publish any scanned records online, to make them accessible for other researchers. But only if the archives are public and comply to the privacy and security guidelines.

1. A scan of an item from the audiovisual collection will only be provided digitally. We don't provide hard copies, USB-sticks, CD-roms, etc.
2. The scan of the audiovisual material will be sent at the client's risk.
3. The image provided may be used once and exclusively for the purpose for which the image was requested.
4. The client is only allowed to publish and/or reproduce copies of the image if explicit permission is provided by the copyright holder (where known). It is part of the KDC's responsibilities to find out who copyright holder is and inform the client accordingly. Should the KDC be unable to find the copyright holder, then it is at the client's own risk to use the image. The client therefore exempts the KDC from any liability, for whatever reason, that third parties may assert against the KDC with regard to the client's use of the image document.
5. If the copyright belongs to the KDC, the KDC is entitled to charge the client a usage fee.
6. The image provided may not be published in a way that infringes the rights of the photographer or the person portrayed.
7. The recipient will be charged for research, reproduction, postage and administration for each image delivered. Depending on use, a minimum amount to be determined will be set.
8. Citation of sources is always mandatory. When publishing, please mention: Catholic Documentation Centre, Nijmegen and the name of the copyright holder.
9. Upon publication of the image document, the client agrees to provide a proof copy of the publication or a photocopy of the relevant page(s) to the KDC, without charge.

• Small-scale scan requests for the individual researcher are part of the regular operations of the KDC and are free of charge for internal clients (students and employees of uu77).
• Large-scale, project-based requests for digitisation only take place in consultation with the archivist or collections specialist.
• External clients (students and researchers from outside uu77) may be charged for scans. Please check the price list for current rates.
