uu77: Committed to HRS4R
Because uu77 believes an open and transparent European research climate to be important, the university joined the HRS4R in 2013 aiming to incorporate the Charter & Code. uu77 formally went through an accreditation and audit process at the time and has since then received permission to use the logo HRS4R as a demonstration of being a good employer for researchers.
A new accreditation and audit process is carried out every three years. The last time, in 2020, the assessment took place through a 'site visit', in which the European external evaluation committee issued a positive assessment after viewing documents and conducting discussions with various internal stakeholders. The committee has given some recommendations for improvement that the university will work on.
Because there is always room for improvement, uu77 has invested further in its HR policy in recent years. This is done as an elaboration of the new University strategy 'A significant impact'. Based on the strategic HR agenda, various concrete improvement actions have been carried out. The necessary improvement actions will also be initiated in the coming years. In 2023, the strategic HR action plan was described and submitted in writing to the European Commission for a reassessment. The organisation is currently waiting for the final assessment report.
